Saint Gemma Galgani mug
Saint Gemma Galgani Mug
Gemma was born in 1878, into a Catholic family, in Camigliano, Italy.
From an early age she gave herself body and soul to Christ. At eighteen she made the vow of chastity, and soon after she began to have mystical experiences. A few years later Jesus gave her the gift of stigmata.
Gemma loved Jesus unconditionally and suffered for Him as a way of showing Him her unconditional love. She was beatified by Pope Pius XI in 1933 and was canonized by Pope Pius XII in 1940.
